The most important thing that I learned this semester was how bad I am at MLA and how to improve my MLA skills. The way to improve seems to be to just do it and read the MLA guidlines page to hopefully do better. The least important thing for me this semester was our procrastination week where we talked about how to avoid it and manage it. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter how you can "mitigate" procrastination at the end of the day you have to just start doing things. I also learned a little bit more about how to properly write a thesis, and I can only hope that I can replicate it for our final.

High school tends to talk about the understanding of material with analysis and tends to be less in depth. The writting assignments tend to be shorter and less complex with little use of MLA format. College writting tends to be deeper analysis whilst the scope is broader often involving tons more research and long essay's. Magdalena talks about how first person is not replaceable in college writting for research. Which shows how similar college and highschool is because in both you can use first person pronouns (Magdalena 180).

Boyd uses very persuasive rhetorical strategies in her essay. She mentions how to start be like a detective and visualize five facts and then visualize whilst writting for five or so minutes as if I was the detective (Boyd 88). What also helps is the fact that the steps are outlined for easy consumption of knowledge. It was stated how does it begin and end, what details do I add and what details did I get rid of (Boyd 88).

An argument that I will be using for my doc2 is persuasion public argument. In the Jones' essay she talked about how public arguments are not meant to mislead people, but they tend to be discussions instead of arguments that are really opinions or a spin on some topics(Jones 158). This will work because it will be like the news stations, they have a lot of opinions nowadays, and those opinions might be treated as fact to help persuade people to join aviation. In my starting paragraph for Doc2 I mention how aviation is always evolving and presents a CAPTIVATING career path for people with a passion, love adventure, and have a desire to make their mark on the world(Santiago 1). All of that is true, but it is overly fantasizing what we will actually be doing. All of these things combined is why I will be able to sway my intended audience.
