Fall 2024 Post 01: Introduction to Miguel Santiago

I'm writing about who I am.

My full name is Miguel Antonio Santiago I am 18 years old and I was born in 2006. I have lived my entire life in Woodstock, GA which is roughly about 30-45 mins North of Atlanta. In that area I decided to do two sports, swim and baseball. During my early years I swam and played baseball at the same time, but that changed junior year middle school when I decided I didn't want to swim anymore. After that I was solely playing baseball. On the topic of playing baseball I played for my highschool team called the Etowah Eagles and they are a 6a division. My team ended up winning the 6a Georgia State Championship this year. An additional fact about me is I am currently in aviation flight school and am working on getting my private written done outside of the school. I originally joined aviation because of a second grade careers project, and also because I was influenced by my dad who owns a 1976 Cessna 310. Speaking of older vehicles I drive a 1996 Chevy Silverado that is kept in pretty good condition and is soon to have 300,000 miles. This sums up some key factors that contributed to the person that I am today. "Life is good."- some wise man

    Thanks for the fine introduction, and welcome to the class. Congratulations on the state championship. That's a significant achievement. About 60 years ago I played Little League baseball, but I switched to soccer in my 30s. It was a good choice for me.
