Boyd uses very persuasive rhetorical strategies in her essay. She mentions how to start be like a detective and visualize five facts and then visualize whilst writting for five or so minutes as if I was the detective (Boyd 88). What also helps is the fact that the steps are outlined for easy consumption of knowledge. It was stated how does it begin and end, what details do I add and what details did I get rid of (Boyd 88).

  1. I love that Boyd encourages the reader to be like a detective when it comes to reading and writing. I say this because I believe that everyone has played detective at least once in life when they really wanted or needed to know something.

  2. Boyd's use of persuasive rhetorical strategies is indeed effective. It is encouraging readers to think like a detective and visualize five facts, she engages them in an active process of discovery. This method, where one writes for five minutes as if they were a detective, helps to deepen understanding and retention of the material (Boyd 88). Your structured approach aids in the easy consumption of knowledge, making her essay both practical and impactful.

  3. I also enjoy how Boyd outlined the essay; this creates an organized and digestible reading. The detective, coroner, and eulogy are unique perspectives for teaching rhetorical strategies.
